Reverse Phone Book
Growing up, my parents would always buy me books as a present. They taught me that in a young age, I should be reading a lot of materials to acquire more knowledge and understanding. I remember one time during Christmas that they gave me an Atlas. It is a book that consists of much information about different countries in the world. By reading that book, it opened my eyes to the different aspects of a countries history and culture.
Books have given me an idea of how things are done and the origin of such matter. It was intentional on my part to invest on books rather than spend my money and savings on things that will not give me any information. I guess I got that from my dad, who always taught me the value of education. Reading became my daily habit even if I am not in school. I would spend most of my time in the library when I am at school and my classmates would tease me that I am a nerd or bookworm.
As of now, I know how to deal with life just because I have acquired much knowledge by reading. As they say, if there is no knowledge then there is no power. If you look at the famous inventions all around the world, the inventors were lovers of knowledge and they kept that habit as they grow old and even until they die. For most people, reading can be boring and dull but when you understand the value it entails, you can never stop doing it.
There is also one reference book that is essential when you are looking for a person. That is what we call a phone book. A phone book is a reading material that consists of a people’s list of names, addresses and phone numbers. I am sure that every company or public institution has a phone book because of it’s value. Now we have an online reverse phone book. This is the one that most people use when they want to get the details about a person.
When one needs a person’s address, he can look up at the reverse phone book by typing the name and the phone number of the person then an automatic result of the address is given. It also works in vice versa when you are looking for a phone number. Indeed, it made a great impact on people’s lives today when it comes to find a person.
