Chatting in the internet helped them, but one of the things that were really useful to their long distance relationship was through the power of social networking sites.
The internet provides different services from other social networking sites such as, Facebook, Myspace, Friendster, Twitter, Reunion, and many other sites. It is not that hard nowadays, to find a person. What you have to do is to register on any of the social networking sites of your choice. Fill up some information it asks, by adding your name, address, email address, phone number and some of your interests. Then go to their search engines and type the name of the person you are searching.
To expand your search you can also visit Google and Yahoo, by typing the name or address of the person you are looking for. It will give you a lot of information about the person you are searching. Billions of people try to look up and register on the different social networking sites to keep in touch or locate a long lost friend.
You don’t need to try old methods in order to locate people around the world. You can just sit and go to the internet and let your fingers do the walking and talking. I’m not saying that white pages and phone book directory are not useful, they are really helpful. What I am saying is that checking in the white pages and yellow pages are all time consuming, and it’s sometimes not accurate and up to date.
The beauty of using the Internet is that it is time saving and user friendly. And it can be accessed anywhere, what you have to check if the place you are into has “Wi-Fi.” So no need to rush running in the library, for you can use the internet anywhere and anytime.
